Adult education and learning basque

The Adult Education Centre in Eibar offers the following courses:

  • Basic education: literacy and general culture
  • in possession of the Secondary Education Certificate.
  • Learning Basque
  • Learning Spanish
  • Registration is free and there are two regular registration periods:

  • For the first four month term: june.
  • For the second four-month term: january.
  • Once the application has been accepted, a copy of ID, passport or residence card must be presented for registration and the original and photocopy of completed studies (this only applies to those who have the Secondary Education Certificate).

    There are various centres where courses in Basic Vocational Education, Intermediate and Higher Level Vocational Education and the Baccalaureate are offered.

    Convalidation of studies

    Validation of educational qualifications awarded in other countires for university and non-university studies is possible.

    Lanbide

    Lanbide, the Basque Employment Service offers courses to improve employability and integration in the labour market. They are organised into two different areas: one primarily directed at the unemployed, many of which come with a commitment of an employment offer and the other for those who are already employed.

    All the courses offered are completely free of charge and the only conditions are to be registered with Lanbide (if you are unemployed) and to fulfil the requirements for the course you wish to take.

    These training courses are aimed at different levels of qualification (from basic competencies to a higher level for graduates and those who have completed higher level vocational training).

    Euskera

    Euskaltegi Municipal

    The Municipal Euskaltegi is a public entity which teaches the Basque language (Euskera) at all levels online and in person.

    The courses and classes have a broad timetable and different hourly options (2 hour daily courses, 4 hour intensive courses, twice weekly courses, 100 hour courses, etc.). There is also the option of registering for a self-learning course through the programme BOGA.es.
