Andretxea is a resource of the municipal Equality Unit for promoting equal opportunities for women and men. It is an area for feminist education that is open, accessible and diverse in which the empowerment of women of all ages and backgrounds is fomented. It is a meeting space for reflection, debate, learning and for creating and strengthening feminist strategies and alliances.
The following services and resources are available:
Guidance and assistance concerning the resources and rights available in the area of equality.Employment guidance service for work in the home and care work. It offers employment and legal advice for care workers and domestic workers or anyone who wishes to contract these servicesPlaces for meeting to work on empowerment personally and collectively in group processes such as:
- Empalabramiento: Empowerment through the use of the Spanish language:
- Spanish language classes with an empowerment perspective
- Emotional bonds for fostering the proper treatment of all.
- Learning to love ourselves
Places for meeting and accompaniment in order to promote women’s associations in Eibar.. Andretxea also facilitates the possibility of booking a room for associations and groups whose objective is the achievement of equality.Organising campaigns for equality: 8thMarch, 25thNovember and 17thMay-28th June.The Andretxea service organises two annual programmes, one in Spring and the other in Autumn. The Empowerment School offers feminist education through courses and workshops facilitating the tools for women to be more in charge of themselves and their lives, becoming stronger at a personal and collective level, analysing reality from a decolonised and critical perspective and promoting social and political participation.The Maistrak Library, specialises in gender and feminist topics. Initiatives such as: world women’s literature sessions, activities related to the ease of reading, feminist writings, reading guides, etc. Are carried out here. Book presentations, talks, documentaries, conferences and round table discussions … for promoting reflection on and analysis of feminist topics from an intersectional viewpoint.Exhibitions that show women’s creativity and feminist artistic productions, as well as those with educational content on equality.For further information contact Andretxea.
